REGISTRATION PROCEDURES FOR JULY SESSION
Participants must secure approval from their supervisors prior to registering for a course. When registration has been closed, a list of registered participants will be forwarded to each district supervisor for final approval. Registration closes July 18, 2008. Registration of $100.00 per registrant (NOT per class) is due by July 7, 2008 (based on post-mark date). After July 7, 2008, the late registration fee is $200.00 per registrant (NOT per class).

- There will be NO on-site registration

Procedure:
You will need to create a user ID and Password. You will not be able to register without creating a user ID and Password. DO NOT create a new user ID and Password if you have registered with this system before (if do not recall your user ID and Password please contact Patricia Felder at (225) 219-0366).
To Create a User ID and Password:
- Click Logon to view Transcript
- Fill in the fields and proceed to register
To Register:
- Click on View by Category
- Select Career and Technical Education and click Go
- Select Super Summer Institute –July Session 2008
- Select courses by checking the box next to the course name
- GO TO THE BOTTOM of the page and click Register
IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION E-MAIL, YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED!
Note: You may not register for courses that overlap training days. Please be sure to pay close attention to the meeting days and times of the courses for which you are registering.
Also, please scroll the entire list of course offerings prior to making your final selection.
2. Directions for payment:
- After registering online through Coursewhere, the registration fee, in the form of a check or money order paid to the order of the Louisiana Department of Education must be sent to secure your registration seat.
- Mail to Patricia Merrick at P.O. Box 94064, Baton Rouge, LA 70804.
- Include with the payment: 1. session name(s), 2. participant’s name, 3. contact information (address, phone number, email address, parish), and 4. summer contact information in the event there is a change in Summer Institute logistics. Systems that send one check must have this information for each participant.
- Registration is complete when the registration fee has been received. Session seats are filled in the order of the receipt of payment. Note: Receipts will be provided on-site during conference registration.
3. Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be received by July 11th in order that the LEA is not assessed the cost of materials and supplies for the session. Cancellations may be faxed to the Department of Education, Division of Family, Career and Technical Education, at (225) 219-7844. Please include your name, telephone number, parish, and session(s) name with your request to cancel. Doctor’s excuses and other verified emergency situations will be accepted after the cancellation date.
Note: There will be NO refund of registration fees.
