Greetings LTC Regional Directors,
The Louisiana Community College System, Louisiana Technical College and Louisiana Department of Education, Division of Career and Technical Education, is pleased to offer the July session of Summer Institute 2008, during the week of July 29-August 1, 2008. (We understand if semester responsibilities have LTC participants joining in progress.) Last year was a great success for professional development, networking, and sharing of best practice amongst professionals from across the state. The conference will be held at various locations in the New Orleans area.
Enclosed are the session descriptions, locations, dates, and registration instructions. Conference registration must be completed via the registration web site only. No phone or faxed registration requests will be accepted. The registration fee for the July conference of $100 is due by July 7, 2008. Registration received after the deadline will be $200. There will be no onsite registration. Cancellations must be received by July 11, 2008. Sessions fill rapidly, and class size is limited, so immediate attention is recommended. Individual teachers register online, but attendance is contingent upon approval of the appropriate supervisor and receipt of registration fees. Click here to register.
Participants are responsible for securing their own hotel accommodations. Reimbursement for travel, lodging, and meals may be requested from the participants’ Region or Campus. It is recommended that participants utilize lodging facilities that honor the state rate.
