DESCRIPTION

Enrollment into the newly developed Allied Health Math, Reading, and English courses will be determined by COMPASS scores:

AHMA 1000 - compass score 47-54
AHRE 1000 - compass score 82-84
AHEN 1000 - compass score 60-69

Students scoring less then the minimum scores indicated above will be advised to enroll into the appropriate developmental course. Students whose COMPASS scores exceed the ranges listed above will be exempted from the courses. Students may also be exempted from the courses above if they present official college transcripts indicating successful completion of a comparable course (not a developmental course). Courses should have been completed within the last 4 years and a minimum grade of C received.

As the COMPASS does not have a science component, all students will be required to enroll in AHSC1000. As above, students may be exempted from this course with official documentation of a college level science course (Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, Anatomy & Physiology, etc.).

All Pre- nursing students will be required to enroll in CPTR1000 unless they receive advanced credit for the course with documentation of a college level computer literacy course.

ORNT1000 will be required of all Pre-Nursing students. This course may be credited to a PN program when the student advances into the Practical Nursing required courses.
