Tegrity makes class time available all the time by automatically capturing, storing and indexing classes on campus for replay by participating students. The more a student can sees, hears, and experiences class resources, the better they learn. With Tegrity, students quickly recall key moments or replay entire classes online, with digital notes, on their iPods and cell phones. Tegrity’s scalable web services model eliminates the need to install software on instructor or student computers. A simple one-click start and stop process automatically captures video, audio, PowerPoint and more. Students replay any part of any class with easy-to-use browser-based viewing on a PC or Mac. Tegrity offers automatic, campus-wide creation of enhanced podcasts including slides, indexing and text titles with zero production work. Students quickly find just what they need using thumbnail image or keyword search across an entire semester of class recordings. During class, Tegrity's automatic tagging and indexing creates metadata for textual content of slides, websites and application names. Tegrity class capture integrates seamlessly with existing campus solutions, allowing users to login directly to Tegrity Campus 2.0 or authenticate through any secure web page, portal, CMS or SIS used by the institution.

How to Presentations

Why Tegrity?

Does Tegrity really make a difference?

Consider this…while the average instructor speaks over 120 words per minute the average student can only write notes at about 20 words per minute. The more a student tries to write, the less they can listen. Students usually have to rely on partial notes and memory when they study. With Tegrity, they can repeat the needed part of any class until they get it. And Tegrity’s unique indexing technology helps them quickly find exactly what they need, using a web browser, an iPod or cell phone.

Students appreciate Tegrity and rely on the "safety net" that it provides, helping them become more confident and attentive in class. Tegrity institutions report strong evidence that they are deploying a technology that makes a real difference in student satisfaction. In a recent survey, over 60% of the students believed that it improved their grades!*

Instructors quickly embrace Tegrity because they find it extremely easy to learn and use. They just click one button at the beginning of class and one button at the end. Their focus stays on teaching as usual and Tegrity software does the rest, assuring that only their enrolled students will have access to the recording. Surveys show that 97% of instructors believed that Tegrity improved their teaching effectiveness, and 93% express a high desire to use Tegrity in all their classes.

Students see more value in coming to class. Research shows that class recording does not reduce attendance. Students see more value in participating, knowing that they can always go back to the class recording for reinforcement.

No manual “processing” or “uploading. Tegrity helps you accomplish big things with minimal effort. It is a scalable and reliable solution that seamlessly integrates with other campus wide software in your infrastructure such as Blackboard, WebCT, Sakai, Angel, Peoplesoft, SCT and more. Based on existing data, Tegrity automatically funnels and catalogs all the class recordings into the Tegrity class repository and automatically make the recordings available only through the right CMS course pages.

What gets measured gets done. To assure a successful deployment, Tegrity Campus includes integrated governance tools that ensure a measurable impact on students, faculty and program utilization. You will quickly generate your own tangible evidence that Tegrity makes a big impact on learning and the strategic goals of your institution.
