A Message from our Workforce Development Department

The Workforce Development Department of Greater Acadiana Region 4 strives to increase our community competitiveness and our economic strength by providing advanced, flexible, and applicable technology, education, and training. For this to occur, we continually partner with students, business and industry, chambers of commerce, and public workforce systems to create "real" workforce solutions-initiatives that increase our relevance to the Acadiana economy.

Our motto is "anyplace - anytime" and we mean it! When the need exists, our trained faculty and staff are ready to jump into action. We welcome your input and hope we can serve you in the near future.

Community Education

As you browse through our noncredit course offerings, you'll find extraordinary opportunities and career paths. In fact, you'll probably be surprised at the variety of courses, workplace skills, and services available. Whatever your need -- fun and leisure, upgrading needed skills, or serious skills training for your career -- the opportunities are waiting for you at one of our campus locations. If you don't find what you are looking for, make sure and contact us for additional information. Your call may just be the one needed to start the class or program - today!

Workforce Development

Our instructional programs provide skilled employees for business and industry that contribute to the overall economic development and workforce needs of the state. Our college provides individuals with quality and relevant learning opportunities consistent with identified student and business and industry needs within a life-long learning environment. Our mission is to continue as leaders in Workforce Development for the State of Louisiana and the Acadiana area. Through our short-term programs that provide long-term employment, we hope to re-engineer and re-train Louisiana's workforce for an ever changing global marketplace.
