Acadian Campus is located in
the city of
Crowley the heart of
Acadia Parish.
We are a vocational and technical college delivering courses and
programs through on-campus instruction and the Internet. Louisiana
Technical College (LTC), Acadian Campus delivers instructional programs
which provide skilled employees for business and industry that contribute
to the overall economic development and workforce needs of the state.
This campus provides individuals with quality and relevant learning
opportunities consistent with identified student, business, and
industry needs within a life-long learning environment.
Acadian Campus was
established in 1938 and is one of the technical college campuses
operated throughout Louisiana under the authority of the
Louisiana Community and Technical College System. It serves
students of Acadia and neighboring parishes interested in
technical training. The college is accredited by the Accrediting
Commission of the Council on Occupational Education and also has
programs approved for training by the Louisiana State Board of
Practical Nurse Examiners, National Automotive Training
Educational Foundation (NATEF), Workforce Investment Board (WIB),
Veterans Administration, Vocational Rehabilitation, and the
American Welding Society.
The campus is
located on 13 acres at 1933 West Hutchinson Avenue, Crowley,
Louisiana and consists of one campus. The facility has modern
equipment similar to that used by employers.
Two types of
training programs are offered: preparatory and continuing
education. Preparatory training is for students who have little
or no training in a particular field and who want to acquire
knowledge and skills needed for job entry in that trade or area
of specialization.
